Day 1 – 3

The Little Karoo and Great Karoo

Departing from Cape Town, we travel the longest wine route in the world, Route 62, from the coastal plains of Cape Town to a semi-arid area called the Little Karoo. We base ourselves on a working farm just outside of Oudtshoorn, the capital town. The Little Karoo and Great Karoo is where you’ll experience the famous Cango Caves, the breath-taking Swartberg Pass (gravel road) into the Great Karoo, the charming town of Prince Albert, Meiringspoort and ostrich farms.

Day 3 – 6

The Garden Route

3 nights | The Plettenberg Bay Hotel

Plettenberg Bay is a seaside town known for its exceptional natural beauty. Originally it was named Baia Formosa meaning the “beautiful bay” by the 15th century Portugese navigator Manual de Mesquita Ptestrelo. It is the ideal base to use for discovering the Garden Route sights. Easy trips could include Knysna, the World’s highest bridge based bungee at Bloukrans Bridge, the Tsitsikamma National Park and its suspension bridges, Sea Safaris, beautiful safe beaches for swimming and hiking and much much more.

We’ll travel back to Cape Town depending on your flights or onward journey.
