7 Days, Best of the Cape Region
From R18 950 per person sharing. Best time to visit: All year.
Overview
Sun, sea, culture, cuisine, wine and spectacular natural beauty. This is the tour to take if you have always had Cape Town on your bucket list. Cape Town, our Mother City, is where you will find sights and experiences such as Table Mountain, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens (one of the World’s top seven), Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and more.
I’m biased of course but do believe our traditional winelands regions such as Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are amongst the most beautiful in the world. And lots of clients agree with me. The time spent here is a beautiful balance of wines, scenery, history and culture.
The sea-side village of Hermanus is about the sparkling sea of Walker Bay, walks along the coastal pathway and soft sand beaches, flora (fynbos, the world’s greatest diversity of flora), local wineries, excellent restaurants and the best whale watching, both land and boat-based, in the world (July to November).
Day 1 – 3
Cape Town
2 nights | The Commodore Hotel
Everybody loves waking up to spectacular sea views, knowing there is a great day ahead of you. We like to keep things flexible, in holiday mode. Optimise the time in our Mother City with the expert advice of our driver guide.
Highlights:
Cape Town City, Table Mountain, Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, Chapmans Peak Drive, Penguins at Boulders Beach, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens
Day 3 – 5
Winelands
2 nights | Oude Werf Hotel
What is a good wine? Well it’s either a wine you like or the wine in your glass. Depending how you look at it. Additional to the good wines, our winelands are amongst the most beautiful in the world situated within the Cape Folded Belt of Mountains. And to compliment that we have great restaurants offering great food as well. The driver guide will optimise your experience, focusing on the cultivars (and food) you prefer best.
Highlights:
Stellenbosch town, Franschhoek town, the Wines, the Food, the Scenery
Day 5 – 7
Hermanus
2 nights | The Harbour House Hotel
Hermanus is a piece of my heart. This is a the small seaside town where it is possible to enjoy walks along the Coastal Pathway right next to the sea amongst Fynbos (a highly diverse group of flora) or on soft white sand beaches that stretch for kilometres, browse the interesting shops, taste wines in the Hemel en Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley, eat good food, enjoy sundowners on the rocks and much, much more. Still driver guided, it is also possible to conquer the Southernmost Point of Africa from here.
Highlights:
Hermanus town, the Cliff Path walks, Grotto Beach walks, the Whales (June to November), Hemel en Aarde Wine Valley
