Overview
Three iconic destinations, the Victoria Falls, Cape Town and Kruger. They can be travelled to in any sequence, it will mainly depend on your preferred start and end point. We will optimise that for you.
It is with good reason why these three destinations are world famous.
The original Kololo language name for the Victoria Falls is “Mosi-oa-Tunya” the “Smoke that Thunders” and in flood it really is exactly that. David Livingstone, the famed Scottish explorer and first European to set eyes on the Falls, named it Victoria Falls after Queen Victoria.
Cape Town, our Mother City, offers sights and experiences such as Table Mountain, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens (one of the World’s top Seven), Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, the Winelands and much more. It has a fascinating place in our history.
The Greater Kruger Private Game Reserves such as Sabi Sands Wildtuin and the Timbavati offers best in the world game viewing and lodge experiences.

Day 1 – 3
Victoria Falls
2 nights | The Victoria Falls Hotel
Many moons ago friends and I drove with my car to the Victoria Falls and did the white water rafting on the Zambezi River downstream from the Victoria Falls. You can imagine what happens when a river 1700m wide plunges 108m over the Victoria Falls and then gets channelled into a gorge around 40m wide. It was a totally exhilarating experience to put it lightly. Recently I revisited the Victoria Falls and took time to enjoy one of the most majestic falls of the world. It is a truly awe inspiring sight to see around 6000 cubic metres of water per second falling down the 108m precipice.
Victoria Falls town offers a true African Village feel with some colonial influence still visible.

Both the Zambia and Zimbabwe sides of the Victoria Falls, Tea on the Zambian banks of the Zambezi River, a Helicopter trip over the Falls, White water rafting for the young and strong at heart, Sundowner cruises on the Zambezi.
Day 3 – 7
Cape Town
4 nights | Cape Grace Hotel
Your arrival is usually at the Cape Town Airport where the driver guide will welcome you. 5 Days in and around Cape Town …. this is about visiting world famous sites, being amazed by the natural beauty and diversity, building perspective about South Africa’s very interesting history and peoples and of course being on holiday, enjoying this special place.
Highlights:
Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, Chapmans Peak drive, Boulders Penguins, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, the Winelands, Hermanus (Whales in season – June to November).
Day 7 – 10
Greater Kruger
3 nights | Mala Mala
A mid-morning departure from Cape Town Airport will have you checked in at your Greater Kruger lodge around lunch time. It is a dramatic change from the cosmopolitan Cape Town city feel to a very real African bushveld sense of place. There is a wonderful rhythm to watching wildlife. The late afternoon / evening game drive is not only about the wildlife but also the changing colours of an African sunset. The early morning game drives are fresh and crisp, one gets the feel of Africa waking up to a bountiful new day. Then there are the meals prepared by the lodge chef, always with local flavours. The surprise refreshment stops while on game drives will amaze you. And when not busy enjoying an activity, a meal or the high tea, there are the tranquil hours lazing away with a book, at the poolside or taking a well-earned nap.

Day 10
We travel to either Johannesburg or Cape Town depending on your further travels.
