West Coast Flower tour (Spring season – 4 days)

The West Coast of South Africa, famous for it's spectacular Spring Flower displays and beautiful coastline. |
DAY 1: Drive to a Private Nature Reserve - enjoy a walk through the wildflowers and coffee at the conservation centre on the premises. Next stop is near Langebaan where we visit the West Coast National Park and in particular the Postberg Flower/Game Reserve, which opens only for flowering season and offers spectacular floral displays and also game sightings.
Dinner & overnight: Saldanha area
DAY 2: After breakfast we depart for visit a Rooibos plantation – see how our unique tea is cultivated and processed.
Following this there is a short drive to Clanwilliam. Visit the Ramskop Nature Reserve, were we take a walk on the laid-out paths through the garden, which offer a beautiful view over the Cederberg Mountains and Clanwilliam Dam.
Dinner & overnight: Clanwilliam area
DAY 3: Following breakfast we travel to a well-known succulent nursery. Also drive to Nieuwoudtville, bulb capital of the world. Here we see a large variety of flora. The spring flowers include many rare bulbs unique to the area and scientists from all over the world visit this reserve.

DAY 4: On our way back to Cape Town deviate to the town known as the flower of the West Coast – Darling.
Here we will visit renowned satirist Pieter Dirk Uys’ ‘Evita se Perron’, a cabaret style theatre on the railway station platform, which is definitely worth a visit.
End the experience by enjoying a casual stroll through the veld in some of the beautiful private reserves and be introduced to the different flowers.
