Jannie Loubser:
South Africa and her people are in my heart. It has become my passion in life. Apart from the satisfaction derived from providing our clients with great memories of this wonderful place, I firmly believe in the importance of the tourism industry for our region’s continued growth.
Before establishing Signature in 2003 I qualified as an Industrial Engineer at the University of Stellenbosch and subsequently worked as an engineer, manager and consultant for 14 years in the industry. In 2000 I completed an MBA (Stellenbosch) and with this new found perspective decided to search and follow my dreams. My wife, Heleen, and I stopped our respective careers (she’s a Clinical Psychologist) and went backpacking around the world following the sun for a year. During this time I realized two important issues namely: I wanted to be in a work environment that will afford me more social contact with people and my love for South Africa. Tourism became the perfect industry in which I am able live my passion. It has since also afforded me the chance to act as a facilitator training promising upcoming businesses as well as being a mentor in the Tourism Business Forum’s Mentorship Program for the past four years.
Ince Maree:
My greatest passion is sharing the hidden natural gems of the Cape Floral Kingdom and South Africa with visitors. It is easy to be enthusiastic about the natural phenomena here at the tip of the African continent which is definitely worthwhile enjoying, conserving and sharing with visitors.
I have been operating a responsible tourism company called “The Eco-ist” for the last five years after finishing a B.Sc degree in Nature Conservation, Botany and Geography and working and travelling abroad for a year.
During this period I have also been involved with several associations such as the South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), focusing on their Responsible Tourism Strategy and the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) – specifically involved with CREW – the Custodians of Rare & Endangered Wild Flowers.
Recently I have also become involved in advising companies in Cape Town on sustainability in the work place.
